ZAGREB – CITY WITH A MILLION HEARTS
The conference will be held in the beautiful city of Zagreb, Croatia. The city of Zagreb, capital of Croatia, on the historic and political threshold between East and West, illustrates both the continental and Mediterranean spirit of the nation it spearheads. Zagreb is the cultural, scientific, economic, political and administrative centre of the Republic of Croatia, and is home to the Croatian Parliament, Government and President. Its favourable location between the Pannonian plain, the edge of the Alps and the Dinaric range has allowed it to become a crossing point for mass international communication.
VENUE
Participants are responsible for their own travel arrangements.
Reimbursement of travel expenses (75% of total cost, up to 220 EUR) will be organized by iac Berlin, based on documentation of reasonable and actual expenses supported by the original receipts after the conference.
Expected arrival date is Thursday, 10/11 and departure date is Saturday, 12/11.
The participants will be placed in single-rooms at Hotel Loop.
GETTING TO THE HOTEL FROM THE AIRPORT
The distance from Zagreb airport to Hotel loop is approx. 14 km. Transport to and from the Airport is well organized. We recommend using the official shuttle bus, „Pleso prijevoz“, which operates from the Airport to the Zagreb Main Bus Station. From the Main Bus Station take tram or walk to the hotel.
GETTING TO THE HOTEL FROM THE MAIN BUS STATION
From Zagreb Main Bus Station you can either walk to the Loop Hotel (cca 20 min) or take tram No 6, 7 or 8 for 2 stops and exit at “Slavonska Avenija” stop (and then walk 5 min more to the hotel). The ticket for the tram can be bought at newspaper stands or from the driver (1 ticket costs 6 HRK (0,80 Eur) and is valid for 30 min).
